We want to start your 2025 on a strong, positive note, so we hope you’ve all had a wonderful festive period and you’re all feeling ready to get back out on the golf course!

January is certainly chilly, but playing golf with our buddies when the sun is high overhead against a frosty golf course backdrop is a wonderful experience, and is part of what makes winter golf so special. It’s always a pleasure to enjoy the company of friends on the course before getting warm again in the clubhouse.

It’s also the time of year that we get a lot of new products lining the shelves in the pro shop! From clubs to balls, we’ll have all sorts of fresh, exciting gear ready for you to inspect in the shop.

So, while this time of year can often be dark, chilly, and prone to keeping us inside, it’s well worth seizing the opportunity to play when the conditions are bright and cheerful. It’s also the perfect time of year to set some goals for the months ahead, which begs the question…

What are your golfing dreams for 2025?

Whether it’s to travel more, hit the gym, or put down a bad habit, we all set New Year’s resolutions with the intention of living a happier, richer, more fulfilling life.

There’s no reason that getting better at golf shouldn’t be one of your resolutions! The more practice you put in, and the more routinely you play golf, the more you’ll get out of the sport and overall confidence you’ll have in your abilities.

Is there a particular area of your game you’ve always struggled with? Do you have a particularly aggressive slice off the tee? Maybe you always hit your putts too far past the hole or just can’t seem to read greens? Whatever you feel you struggle with, if you really work on getting better at it over the winter, just think about what a great position you’ll be in in time for the main golfing season in Spring.
